Traveling Gavel

Origin

The Traveling Gavel Project was implemented by MWB Jim Woodward in his year as Grand Master (2006). The gavel was carved by MWB Bud McIntire of Progress Lodge #22. He served this jurisdiction in 1988. Photos of the gavel may be seen on the Progress Lodge #22 Photo Site.

The gavel was initially awarded to Wasatch Lodge #1 but was quickly captured by Progress Lodge #22. It has been in motion ever since.

How To Capture The Gavel

The purpose of the gavel is to stimulate visits to lodge meetings.
